I found Deanna at exactly the right time in my life. I was approaching 70 and, having had an interest in health and nutrition all my life, I knew it was time for me to get serious about developing a strength training routine. Deanna is so knowledgeable about total body functionality and health, and has an amazing ability to assess your body and where you are in terms of strength, mobility and function. She always has a kind, gentle approach when instructing you, and yet knows how to push you so that you get the most out of your body and learn how to train hard. She has always kept me safe and each and every time I have left a session with her, I am stronger, more flexible, more balanced and more in tune with what my body needs in order to get stronger. Deanna has been a gift to me in my life!

Fitness For Life is a training center for the young at heart. A space where functional movement education and wellness come together. Fitness For Life also offers a  hybrid 3 month  Lifestyle transformation program. Deanna Bassett, owner , is a  Licensed Nurse, Personal Trainer, a Pain Free Performance Specialist, C-Yoga teacher, spin instructor and an AL-Candidate. Deanna holds as her personal mission helping people improve the quality of  their lives, through  controllable factors, training, mindset and nutrition.  She is deeply invested in facilitating positive outcomes for her clients.

Deanna takes a  multidimensional approach when assessing clients,  creates science backed training programs for the individuals' unique needs and health statuses , meeting people exactly where they are and utilizing best methods to ensure best outcomes.

Are you looking to improve your overall fitness and functional movement abilities? Then the Small Group Class Body Prep at Fitness For Life is perfect for you! This class focuses on full-body movements, incorporating mobility and weight-bearing exercises to help you develop the foundational functional movements needed for daily life activities. Our experienced trainers will guide you through each exercise, and participants are encouraged to add weights to their movements as appropriate. Join us and take the first step towards a healthier you!

Deanna helped me prepare for a hip replacement and I couldn’t wait to return to training, post-surgery. Deanna’s deep background in body mechanics and her calm and encouraging style keep me returning to the gym to work with her. I am approaching my mid-60s and I am stronger now than I was 10—or even 20—years ago. The vision she has for me takes my breath away!
